OMG
I've honestly forgotten about it completely. I had to make an effort to remember it, but it was a really awesome login screen now that I do recall it! I didn't even know I missed it so much!

The "no-minion" cap was amusing to see.

I miss having real life friends who played and to be able to find PUGs for simple quests.

Thunderhead Keep use to be one of my favorite missions because of its difficulty.

People use to say congrats and such when purple items dropped.

The old assassin attack 'n run gameplay use to be fun.

I miss going in there, standing in a mob by storage, putting a high end pet out, setting status to offline and watching the chaos in local chat.

Agree that heroes killed pugs much like inscriptions killed trading.
Hench bars were aweful and they were sooo stupid back in the day so it made people not want them but heroes turned it into a single player game with towns to trade in.

WTB monks on strike to go heckel again!!!
All of the above That strike was the best lol

I miss the very first login screen. Sure wish it was back. I miss pugging and in my experience I never did get screamed at. Going from place to place in the desert with a group and not being run there. Seeing Dragon's lair for the first time. Still the prettiest place I think.

Going in a trapper team to FoW and not knowing I shouldn't take any quests oops

Thunderhead keep oh my gosh LOL that first time was awesome!

I'd give anything sometimes for that first year of GW back again

Yes! I would sit there watching it, or leave it on my computer even when I wasn't playing. The whales popping in and out of the water, the surroundings (volcanic delta?), urgh. It was so amazing.

I wish Arenanet would add an option to choose login screens. But I think they've said before it's technically difficult.

I miss the "rush" when I saw new build pop up on my chat menu. Now, I just go "bleh" and keep on playing.

I miss when it was prophecies only, and farming and selling greens from Sorrows Furnace was the most lucrative means of making money.

I miss the hard Thunderhead Keep.

I miss the monk strikes in Thunderhead Keep XD.

I miss rank in HA actually meaning something.

I miss taking and holding halls in HA actually meaning something.

I miss the World Championships for GvG.

I miss boon prots in GvG.

I miss owning 5 man Oro runs in Sorrow's Furnace with 40 minions the most, though.

- PUG's, Completing prophecies with my Wammo (Mending, Healingbreeze) and nobody cared.

- When rare weapons were rare in PvE. No inscriptions & mods etc.

- When gold was not that easy to get! (before XTH etc)

I miss pugging. It was fun to be able to pick up a group of real players and have fun as a group completing the quest or mission. I wasn't in any hurry to get thru the campaign and if we failed, we failed. No big deal, just do it over again tomorrow and do better.

Now you go to any mission town and see 3 people spamming "Running mission 2k each 5/8!!!" I bet those 3 out of the 4 people he's running are capable of finishing the mission on their own if they would just try.

I know people say that only the bad players that can't do the mission with their heroes join pugs, but that's not true. I've completed every mission in the game solo with my heroes but I'd still rather attempt one with a pug.

The first visit to Droknar's Forge when it was a true bustling city. All the traders, the max armor, getting lost in town, venturing out into the unknown of the Shiverpeaks. It was actually wondrous.

ORO runs. Minions armies, Pro bonders, and keg aggro. Fun! Carrying the baby. Hilarious.

55'ing griffons outside Augury Rock.

Running Drok's with Ye Olde Charge/B-Stance Wammo.

Thinking that soloing the River Drake in Pre-Searing was quite the accomplishment.

My very first spider capping run, back in the Prophecies only days. I went with 7 other guildies, and had a blast in the UW. Even though I've unlocked all the other pets in the game, I still like Boris best!

that's all a-net's fault. Most of it comes from high-end weapons where the drop rate is .02% i like to call it "inflation". Never understood why a player-created item had to be so rare and expensive; always thought it was a contribution to the community, not a fight to see who can pay the most to own one.
